Our history...
began with the futon bed, these days a real classic, and futons. Christiane Hippel founded the Manufaktur there in 1984. Many things have changed since then. We have become more independent, flexible and innovative. And since three of us have joined forces to form a team we have also become more competent. What has remained is that we thoroughly enjoy our work, that we are still based at an old waterworks and that we have high standards we want to meet: Every product has to be manufactured with a love for detail and from regrowing raw materials.
